Iwata Dojo classes are held every Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 7pm to 9pm. Classes consist of a formal entrance and meditation, followed by a stretch and then warm up Kihon (basics), conditioning, drills or kata and then kumite. Finally we stretch and bow out. Karate-do Iwata begins and ends each class with a silent meditation.

In Iwata Dojo every day is a full spectrum of Karate. We finish every class with Kumite (Sparring) and you fight from the day you join. However each day of the week specializes in a particular discipline of Karate-do Iwata. Mondays are typically for Kihon (basics), Wednesdays are focused a little more on Kata, and Fridays are focused on Kumite (Sparring). While each class typically has a little of everything, we find it important to delegate certain days for each of these important aspects of Karate.
